Anna Swanson ’13 is an Africana studies major and an environmental studies minor. She fell in love with travel when she took a year off to travel and volunteer throughout South America and Africa before coming to William & Mary. As much as she loves W&M, she had to do it again and just returned from a year abroad in Cordoba, Argentina and Cape Town, South Africa. Athena Tellis ’13 is a biology and classical studies major who has studied abroad in Seville, Spain and traveled to many other countries. She is returning as a Peer Advisor for a second year. She advises for Spain (W&M program: Seville), Argentina (W&M program: La Plata), Portugal, Morocco, and India, as well as for science and classical studies majors. Huan Song ’13 is an environmental science and marketing major who has study at the Vienna School of Economics and Business Administration in Austria. She was born in Chengdu, China and has traveled to the UK, France, Italy, Spain, much of Central Europe, and Guatemala. You can follow her green traveling and yoga practicing adventures on her Growing Sage blog. When she is not studying, traveling, or practicing yoga, you can find Huan watching movies with the Classical Movies Club, planting with Botany Club, or collecting food for Campus Kitchens.
Jake Lewitz ’13 is a public policy and American studies major from San Francisco, California. He spent the spring semester of his junior year studying abroad in Cape Town, South Africa and traveling around much of South Africa and its neighboring countries. He also served as a Peer Advisor for the William and Mary/Keio University Cross-Cultural Collaboration program for two years.
Maryam Kanna ’14 is an economics major who has studied abroad in France and spent seven years living in the Middle East. She is returning as a Peer Advisor for a second year. Maryam would love to study abroad again in the future in a different francophone country or the United Kingdom. She advises for France, Italy and all countries of the Middle East, as well as French language and economics majors.
