Whether tracing the rise of Peter the Great in St. Petersburg, witnessing globalization in action in Goa or mastering Mandarin in Beijing, students’ studies come alive when the world is their classroom. Study abroad enhances on-campus coursework, improves language skills, develops new intellectual interests, challenges assumptions about one’s own and foreign cultures, and builds cross-cultural skills of value to future employers. In addition, the people students meet and the memories they collect while abroad stay with them long after they return home.
The Reves Center assists William & Mary students with every stage of the study abroad process and, thanks to the generosity of private donors, awards many need- and merit-based scholarships each year. With our 30+ W&M-sponsored year, semester and summer programs in more than 20 countries, and hundreds of additional programs from which students can choose, W&M students can study abroad almost anywhere in the world!
